Automation and Test Systems Pty Ltd was established in 2014 offering an array of services to exceed our customer’s expectations. Using highly skilled engineers, the company specialises in delivering state of the art automation equipment and robotics to the pharmaceutical, automotive, food, and plastics industries.
Design Experience
Special purpose machines, robotic systems, vision systems, gantries, robotic end effectors, grippers, assembly technologies, screwdrivers, vibratory feeders, adhesive systems, labelers, conveyors, pallet dispensers, stretch/shrink wrappers, turntables, accumulators, case forming, packing, palletizing, jigs, fixtures, enclosures, safety guarding, electrical cabinets.
Software Engineering
Robot programming and simulation (ABB, Kuka, Motoman, OTC, Nachi). PLC & HMI programming (Omron, Beckhoff “Object orientated extensions”, AB, Siemens, Festo). Safety PLC programming (Beckhoff, Pilz, Sick). Machine vision (Omron, Cognex and Aforge.NET). PC programming (C #, WPF and VB.NET, legacy and embedded).We use modern programming techniques such as polymorphism through the use of interfaces, abstract and virtual classes.
Project Engineering
FMEA’s, risk assessments, specification documentation, product and maintenance manuals, project timing Microsoft Project, managing BOM’s, FAT’s, SAT’s and validation processes.
Electrical Engineering
We are a control systems specialist. We manufacture our own electrical systems, cabinets and panel builds. We are also very experienced with developing test systems for the electronics industry. We are well trained regarding safety systems, providing simple CAT1 safety system through to complex CAT4 safety systems. We also have extensive experience designing and developing custom PCB’s and embedded programming solutions. Automation and Test Systems P/L is a licensed user of the latest SolidWorks Electrical.
Mechanical Design & Drafting
We are specialists at creating intelligent and innovative mechanical solutions. Also realising that the simplest design solution reduces cost, risk and project delivery time. Automation and Test Systems P/L is a licensed user of the latest SolidWorks Mechanical.
Test Systems
We work with our customers to select the most appropriate test solution for their application. Automation and Test Systems have expertise in delivering in-circuit test systems, traditional bed of nails fixtures, functional test systems and in-system programming. We use conventional test engineering hardware from manufactures such as National Instruments, Keysight Technologies and CheckSum. These include frequency/timer counters, resistor decade, DC source/measurement, digital driver/sensor, open collector, relay module & AC switch module and switching matrix.
